Application au pinceau en 5 minutes, séchage à l'ombre en 20 minutes. Restaure le grip initial de votre tapis après chaque lavage.     Cultivé dans le Tamil Nadu, notre coton biologique certifié GOTS est sélectionné pour sa douceur et sa durabilité. Grâce au savoir-faire de nos artisans et au tissage traditionnel, il devient naturellement antidérapant, tout en respectant l’environnement et aidant les communautés locales.

    • LATEX NATUREL

    Prélevé sur des Hévéas et appliqué minutieusement au pinceau sur toute la surface inférieure du tapis.
    Certains modèles au grip plus marqué (Yama et Surya Pro) en reçoivent également une fine couche sur le dessus. Au fil du temps, vous pourrez utiliser nos recharges de latex pour renforcer ou entretenir le grip de votre tapis, pour un confort et une fiabilité durable.

    MANUFACTURING

    Chaque tapis Mahola est le résultat d'un travail artisanal réalisé dans le Tamil Nadu, au sud de l'Inde. Nous n'exploitons aucune usine : nous collaborons directement avec des tisserandes et tisserands qui perpétuent leur savoir-faire au cœur des villages. La fabrication repose entièrement sur le travail manuel.

    CARE AND WASHING

    Au quotidien, après chaque pratique, secouez simplement votre tapis. Si besoin, vous pouvez l’essuyer avec un chiffon légèrement humide, puis le laisser sécher à l’air libre. Ne roulez jamais votre tapis humide afin d’éviter les moisissures. Grâce aux propriétés naturellement antibactériennes des teintures végétales utilisées, un lavage fréquent n’est pas nécessaire.

    LAVAGE OCCASIONNEL

    Un nettoyage plus en profondeur peut être envisagé ponctuellement : en cas d’odeur inhabituelle, d’usage intensif ou lorsque vous souhaitez simplement le rafraîchir.

    Le lavage à la main est recommandé : eau froide, trempage court de 5 à 10 minutes maximum, lessive ultra naturelle ou poudre de noix de lavage. Lavez doucement, sans frotter agressivement, puis rincez abondamment. Le lavage en machine reste possible uniquement avec précaution : machine grande capacité, cycle très doux / lavage main, eau froide ou 30°C maximum, sans lessive ordinaire.

    SÉCHAGE

    Séchez votre tapis à plat ou suspendu horizontalement, toujours à l’air libre et à l’ombre. Évitez absolument le sèche-linge, les radiateurs et l’exposition directe au soleil, qui peuvent abîmer les teintures végétales et le latex.

    RAVIVER L’ADHÉRENCE

    Avec le temps et les lavages, le latex peut légèrement perdre en efficacité. Après plusieurs lavages, si vous sentez que le grip diminue, appliquez une fine couche de latex naturel au pinceau, puis laissez sécher à l’air libre.

    01 Is the mat long and wide enough?

    Yes: approximately 183 x 69 cm. It seems to us to be the ideal size, as it suits all body types. It is very frustrating for a tall person to "run out" of mat, just as the placement of supports should not force a short person to do the splits.
    It is necessary to clarify the term "approximately" 183 cm in length and 69 cm in width. Due to handmade production, we allow a tolerance of 2 cm in length for our weaving artisans. There may therefore be a slight variation up or down when the mats come off the looms. However, the width is much more stable due to the dimensions of the looms.

    02 Does the mat slip?

    No. The natural latex non-slip base applied to the mat ensures excellent stability on the floor.

    03 Why avoid PVC mats?

    PVC and industrial mats may contain phthalates, endocrine disruptors, and other chemicals that can be harmful to your health. Additionally, their fragility, carbon footprint, and low recyclability pose ecological concerns. Natural cotton therefore appears as a healthy, eco-friendly alternative.

    04 I have never practiced on a cotton mat: which model should I choose?

    Without hesitation, the YAMA 7 mm is perfect for starting with cotton, as the transition requires no adjustment between comfort and grip. You immediately feel great on it. However, aside from this exception, it would be misleading to say that this change is not a change. Practitioners need between 1 and 3 sessions to fully find their footing. The PVC mat tends to outsource part of your core engagement, while a cotton mat allows better control of your support and works the deep muscles more for even more beneficial yoga.
