    OUR ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

01 What are the features of the SURYA XL yoga mat?

The SURYA XL yoga mat is the larger and thicker version of the classic SURYA model.
Made from recycled cotton and handwoven, it offers a thickness of about 5 to 6 mm, providing superior comfort while maintaining the natural stability and grip characteristic of the SURYA range.
Its XL size allows for practicing with a partner, with a child, or creating a true yoga space at home.

02 Which mat is best for practicing with a partner or with my baby?

Measuring 243 × 140 cm, the SURYA XL model is designed to offer more space. It is intended to accommodate 2 people, usually facing each other slightly offset. It not only allows you to share your practice with family or friends but also to furnish the room with elegance and tranquility. It is a superb base for creating a "yoga lounge" at home, especially when paired with its matching accessories.

03 Is the SURYA XL an eco-friendly yoga mat?

    Yes.
Like all MAHOLA mats, the SURYA XL is made from recycled cotton, without PVC, plastic, or industrial glue. It is handwoven with an artisanal and ethical approach.
It is a natural and sustainable alternative to large synthetic mats.

04 Is the SURYA XL suitable for meditation or gentle yoga?

    Absolutely.
Its large size and 5/6 mm thickness make it a particularly comfortable mat for Yin yoga, gentle Hatha, meditation, pranayama, or long floor sessions.
It can also serve as a base to create a true "yoga lounge" at home.

05 Can I practice in socks, or is it reserved for bare feet?

Of course! This is possible even if personally we don’t love it too much, and of course if you use special yoga socks (non-slip), it’s even better!

    NATURAL, HANDMADE YOGA MATS

BY THE CARE OF OUR ARTISAN CRAFTSMEN

Mahola was born from a deep desire: to reconnect with yoga and its original philosophy, in contrast to the giants of the sports industry. Priti, an Indian yoga teacher who arrived in France almost 20 years ago, cherished the memory of the handwoven rugs from her native region, imbued with tradition and a sense of serenity. From this nostalgia emerged a meeting of minds: craftsmanship, ecology, Ayurveda, design, and modern well-being. Our rugs are designed to bring yoga back into the heart of the home, as an intimate, beautiful, and soothing ritual. Each piece supports women and rural families in Tamil Nadu and embodies the pride of a fair, authentic, and profoundly human purchase.
