The natural dyes used in our rugs, which are hand-dyed by experienced dyers, follow the principles of Ayurveda to produce vibrant, beneficial colours. The hue of this carpet, called Stone, is obtained from a blend of many plants, including Vettiver. Ayurveda uses the wood and bark of the tree in a variety of formulations. It is used to promote relaxation, maintain oral hygiene and support the nervous system. It is generally added to tinctures for its soothing properties, but in the right dosage it gives our tissues a brown tinge.
